In 2009 Terra contributed to the assessment of the implementation in Spain of the environmental impact assessment (83/337/EC) and strategic environmental assessment (2001/42/EC) directives for the European Commission.

2006. TERRA participated in the preparation of the Handbook on SEA for Cohesion Policy 2007-2013, in the framework of the Interreg III-C project " Greening Regional Development Programmes"

2005. The International Association of Environmental Impact meets in Prague experts from all countries to debate about experiences on Strategic Environmental Assessment. TERRA presented results from the experience in the framework of UE Structural Funds programing.

Environmental assessment and planning

The commitment to sustainable development requires the use of specific methodologies and procedures for the evaluation, planning and management. In this field we have worked intensively in the definition, calibration and use of instruments for:

- Environmental assessment for planning and monitoring of environmental policy.

- Environmental communication (barometers, indicators, environmental profiles).

- Integration of environmental criteria in sectoral policies (fisheries, rural development, tourism, transport, water planning, research, etc

- Environmental management systems (ISO 14.001, EMAS-III)

- Strategic environmental assessment

- Environmental audits
